COO, Phillips Media Group

An open letter to the residents of Phelps and Pulaski Counties:

The Rolla Daily News and Pulaski County Weekly have served the communities in their counties for over 150 years.

Over the course of those years many things have changed dramatically, in our lives, our communities and in the operation of these papers. Some of these changes have been good, and some of them have been a challenge. Through them all, in one form or another, these papers have been a constant – providing you with news and information and serving as the recorder of your history.

We are pleased to announce that, as of Sept. 1, the Rolla Daily News and Pulaski County Weekly have been purchased by Phillips Media Group. We are a regional newspaper company that owns local papers in Arkansas, Missouri and Illinois that have served their communities for a century or more. We are thrilled to bring your community papers into our family and return them to being the very best source for local news, sports and information.

We will proudly continue to chronicle life in your communities and increase our involvement in them as well. At Phillips Media, it is our mission to contribute to the growth and prosperity of the quality of life in the communities where we do business. We are excited to be a part of yours.

Beginning immediately, the office of both papers at the Rolla Daily News will be open for business. We will be increasing the size of our editorial and support staff to better serve you in a professional, yet personal way. Our employees live and work along side you, and are committed to making a difference in the community.

Thank you for your support of the Rolla Daily News and Pulaski County Weekly. We are honored to be entrusted with these important community resources and look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Sincerely,

Jim Holland
