Rolla Lady Bulldogs and Licking Lady Wildcats remain among Missouri's best

Two area teams stay state-ranked as the basketball season continues to unfold.

Rolla Lady Bulldogs

The Lady Bulldogs are 12-2 on the season and are ranked third in Class 4 with a recent signature win over No. 11 Kickapoo in Class 5.

The Lady Bulldogs will compete in the McDonalds Girls Classic from January 23-25. On January 31 they will face the neighboring St. James Lady Tigers who were also state-ranked earlier in the year.

Rolla and West Plains are both undefeated in Ozark Conference action and West Plains is ranked second in Class 4. Both teams will face off February 6 in West Plains.

Licking Lady Wildcats

The Lady Wildcats are 11-4 on the year and are ranked fourth in Class 3.

This week they went 1-1 with a win over Laquey and loss to Richland. Their only other losses this season were to top-ranked Jefferson City in Class 5, the Kickapoo Lady Chiefs, the Rolla Lady Bulldogs and the Richland Lady Bears who were state-ranked earlier in the season.

Licking will face former state-ranked Newburg on January 23, Salem on the 24th, the Crocker Lady Lions on the 27th and the number two ranked team in Class 3, which is the Strafford Indians on the 28th in Strafford.
