The Miners are 3-4 on the season and the Lady Miners are 5-3.

The Miners are 3-4 on the season. After a rough beginning where they began 1-4 with just a win over Lindenwood University out of Belleville, they have picked things up with a Great Lakes Valley Conference win against Maryville in Rolla and the university's first win over a nationally-ranked team on the road in Northeastern State.

The Miners were scheduled to face Lindenwood in St. Charles on Thursday and will visit Missouri-St. Louis on January 4.

Lindenwood is new to the Great Lakes Valley Conference and has already captured a football title. The Lions are a strong team and the Miners will need big games from CJ Hedgepeth and Dulan Scott who have combined for a majority of the team's offense. Mitch Fairless is another key player who adds 11 points per game.

The Lions are 6-3 on the season with a GLVC loss to University of Missouri-St. Louis so far. They are led by TJ Crockett who averages 26 points per game. Vijay Blackman also adds 18 points each game for Lindenwood.

The Lady Miners are 5-3 this year and have wins over Missouri Baptist, Maryville, Avila, Lindenwood Belleville and Westminster from Missouri.

They were also scheduled to face Lindenwood in St. Charles on Thursday. Alex Kerr will need to be on her game as she is one of the key players. Mykala Baylor is the team’s leading scorer. Other Miners in double figures are Marta Durk, Laura Rodriquez and Maddie Raley.

They will face a strong Lady Lions team, that features former Waynesville Lady Tiger Kallie Bildner. She averages 21 points and 12 rebounds per game.

With history on S&T’s side, the Lady Miners have won eight of the last 10 games against the Lady Lions. The Lady Miners will also be making a trip to Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday.
