The Rolla Lady Bulldogs faced the Licking Lady Wildcats for the second year in a row and captured a second straight Holiday Tournament title on home floor with a 51-36 win.

The Rolla Lady Bulldogs faced the Licking Lady Wildcats for the second year in a row and captured a second straight Holiday Tournament title on home floor with a 51-36 win.

Rolla took an early lead and was able to hold off Licking in the second half. Both teams are state ranked and had just two losses coming in.

Rolla took a 12-3 lead after the Lady Bulldog defense held Licking to a single layup. Ellie Rodgers and Rebecca Janke led Rolla with four points each in the quarter and Carlie Libhart and Loran Pritchett also had a bucket.

The Lady Bulldogs maintained the advantage with a 25-18 lead at the break. Libhart led the team with six points after hitting two big 3-pointers. Janke added four more points and Sarah Coverdell added a 3-pointer of her own. Libhart and Janke led the team at halftime with eight points each.

Rolla began to secure the game by outscoring the Licking girls 14-10 in the third period. Pritchett led Rolla with five points in the quarter and Libhart and Rodgers both hit big shots from behind the arc. 

The Lady Bulldogs closed the game out by hitting several key shots. Rodgers led the Rolla squad with five points in the final frame. Pritchett, Savannah Campbell and Libhart all scored as well. The leading scorers in the game for the Lady Bulldogs was Libhart with 13 points and Rodgers, who added 12 more.

Licking was led by Abbie Sullins and Anna Sullins who both scored nine points in the game. Karlie Holland also scored seven points in effort.
