St. James traveled to Salem down the road in Dent County and came home with a 73-51 win over their fellow Tigers.

St. James traveled to Salem down the road in Dent County on Friday and came home with a 73-51 win over their fellow Tigers.

The Salem Tigers came into the game with a 3-2 record and St. James was 2-0 going into the contest.

The Tigers had a commanding 17-8 lead after just one quarter of play and were able to outscore the Salem boys 23-9 in the second period for a 34-17 advantage at the break.

The Tigers had a commanding 60-32 lead going into the final period of the game with some hot shooting that produced 26 points and cruised in the final eight minutes to remain unbeaten.

The next game for St. James is on December 16  in Union for a Four Rivers Conference game.
