It was a good night for Rolla grapplers. 

The Bulldog boys defeated Owensville and Washington to improve their season record to 3-0 while the girls convincingly took down Owensville 60-5 to improve to 2-0.

Owensville

The Bulldogs began with the Dutchmen when on a good note with a 66-15 win.  Rolla already had a commanding lead after Cullen Bridges, Hunter Hoffman, Alexander Sederburg, Zack Fennell, Titus Taylor and David Rodgers all won by an open forfeit.

Owensville took the first match with a pin fall win by Michael Martin over Rolla’s Brayden Squires in the first period at the 106 weight class. Dathan Mickem, Nathan Pulliman, Wyatt Sowers, and Andre Ridenhour all won the 132 to 160 pound weight classes by pin falls.

Zachary Adams from Owensville defeated David Redding by pin fall in the first round of the 170-pound division. Rolla’s Gabe Sutton went and defeated Brent Helmig with a first round pin and Joseph Bauer closed the match out with a 3-2 decision in the 285 class.

Rolla won all three exhibition matches from David Bridges, Broc Horton and Adam Masterson.

Girls

Things went just as well for the Lady Bulldogs as Rolla took open forfeits from Brooke Dillon, Kate Campbell, Mya Burken, Samara Lewis, Eden Potter, Ayosoreoluna Llesaanmi, Manar Alzahrani, Hailey Lucas and Molly Kell.

Hannah O’Conner won the only pin fall for Rolla, while Jazabel Marquez defeated Taylor Heimbaugh by a tech fall 22-7.

Renae Dobry defeated Haven Sanders in 16 seconds while Marquez defeated Eden Potter by tech fall in an exhibition match.

Washington

he only open win for Rolla was by Bridges. Hoffman, Sederburg, Fennell, Mickem and Pulliam all won their matches from the 120t to 145 weight classes. 

Louis Obermark defeated Sowers from Rolla in a short pin fall. Rollal then won matches by Ridenhour, Redding, Taylor and Sutton. Washington defeated Crouch, Rodgers and Squires to close the varsity part of the contest.

Colin Woods, Keagan Johnson, Ben Perkins, Justin Waneka, Cabbott Lemister, Kendal Johnson and Chance Mickem all won their exhibition matches.

Rolla was scheduled to compete in the Fox Duels on Friday night and will be at the Harrisonville Holiday Tournament the weekend of December 20.
