Rogers State defeated the Miners on Friday 84-63, while Southern Arkansas won 83-76 on Saturday in a close battle until the end.

Rogers State (6-0)

The Miners trailed 35-43 going into halftime of the game. S&T was within eight points for the entire half. The Miners were then outscored 28-41 in the second half to create the final margin.

S&T was led in scoring by Dulan Scott with 17 points, while CJ Hedgepeth scored 10 points to round out the double figures. Mitch Fairless and Jordan Newt both combined for another 17 points in the contest.

Fairless led the team with nine rebounds, while Nolan Lamb had three assists in the game.

Rogers State fell to Drury on Saturday for its first loss of the season. 

Southern Arkansas (3-4) 

The Miners led 41-35 after a strong first half. Both teams were right at 44 percent from the field. The Mule Riders then used a late game run to outrun S&T 48-35 in the second half.

S&T was led in scoring by Fairless who put up 20 points. Chima Oduocha added 16 more while both Hedgepeth and Scott scored 12 each.

Oduocha led the team in rebounds with eight. Lamb, Kyle Bushman, Dawson Berry, Scott and Hedgepeth all had three rebounds each. Oduocha, Scott and Hedgepeth led the team with three assists.

The Muleriders also fell to Drury on Friday.

Missouri S&T’s next game was scheduled for Tuesday against Maryville University in Rolla. The Miners (1-4) will then have a little time off before visiting Northeastern State in Tahlequah, Okla., on December 17 at 7 p.m.
