The Missouri S&T Lady Miners fell to Rockhurst in the first found of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. The top-seeded Lady Hawks defeated S&T 3-0 on Friday to close out their season.

The Missouri S&T Lady Miners fell to Rockhurst in the first found of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. The top-seeded Lady Hawks defeated S&T 3-0 on Friday to close out their season.

The Lady Miners made a comeback run in the first set but fell behind to drop the first contest 18-25. The Lady Eagles won the second set 25-13 over Rockhurst. S&T kept up pace in the third set, but fell 17-25 in the final set of the season.

S&T had 33 kills in the game compared to 44 from the Lady Eagles. The Lady Miners led in assists 118-104 in the contests but could not keep up overall.

S&T we led in kills by Emilee Schlader and Payton Gannaway, who both had 10 in the loss. Avery Reed added nine also in the game. The only aces for the Lady Miners were served by Gannaway and Corinne Stulce. Sarah McGinnia led in assists with 28. Meanwhile, Schlader and Stulce combined for 29 digs in the final game.

The Lady Miners finish the season with a 21-10 record on the year. They were 8-7 in GLVC action.

The players graduating are Eva Mich, Corinne Stulce, Emilee Schlader and Kiernan O’Boyle.
