The Missouri S&T Lady Miners have earned their ticket to the postseason dance.

The Miners hosted the final two games of the regular season and went 1-1 over the weekend, improving to 21-9.

Missouri S&T fell to the University of Missouri at St Louis on Friday, 2-3. The Tritons won the first set 25-21 and S&T won the next two sets 25-19 and 25-21. The Tritons came from behind to win the fourth set, 26-24, and won the final fifth set, 15-11.

The Lady Miners were led in Kills by Emilee Schlader who had 16 in the game. Corinne Stulce produced 20 digs. Sarah McGinnis assisted 47 times in the five-set battle.

The second match of the week was on Saturday where the seniors were recognized. S&T picked up a key win over the Lindenwood Lions.

S&T won the first two sets, 25-16 and 25-15. The Lions rallied in the third to beat S&T, 25-23. Then the Lady Miners closed out the night with a 25-15 win. That win was enough to give S&T the eighth seed of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.

Schlader led the Lady Miners with 21 kills. Stulce led in digs again with 16, Jenna Garrett added 18 assists and Mackenzi Sifuentes had four blocks.

The Lady Miners will play the top-seeded Rockhurst Lady Hawks on Friday at 8:30 p.m., in East Peoria, Illinois. Rockhurst won the last time the teams met on October 25 in Kansas City where S&T lost in an 0-3 sweep.

The games will be held at the Eastside Center. The winner of that game will face either Drury or Indianapolis in the next round.
