The Bulldogs soccer team defeated Pacific 2-1 on Monday in a district semifinal and will now be playing for a district championship Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs soccer team defeated Pacific 2-1 on Monday in a district semifinal and will now be playing for a district championship Wednesday night. 

The first half of the contest with Pacific was scoreless and then Mohamad Alamaldien scored the first goal in the second half with just 17 minutes remaining. Evan Moore assisted in the score.

Pacific managed to tie the game just three minutes later, but Evan Moore scored the winning goal with just eight minutes to go.

The Bulldogs will play in the title game on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in Union against Washington who defeated Union 2-1 in the other semifinal.

Washington defeated Rolla 3-2 in overtime earlier in the season. 

“(I am) proud of our effort, we had to grind that game out. It will be a tough match Wednesday but we have given ourselves an opportunity to keep playing,” Rolla coach Mike Howard said after the semifinal game.
