The Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District invites residents to come out to Big Boys Towing, in Rolla, and watch as firefighters train on advanced extrication techniques.

Firefighters from Pulaski, Phelps, Crawford and Franklin counties will be participating in the Rapid Auto Extrication class beginning at 8 a.m. on Oct. 24 at Big Boys Towing, at 10925 Old Route 66, in Rolla.

“This would be a great opportunity if you have a little firefighter or several little firefighters at home that enjoy fire trucks,” Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District said.

The department added there will be areas cordoned off for spectators to watch that will follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Training will start at 8 a.m. and should end around 5 p.m.

Residents who would like to attend the event will need to send a message to Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Doolittle-Rural-Fire-Protection-District-344473079325638/. There will then be a waiver for attendees to sign.
