The Phelps Maries County Health Department will hold a Saturday clinic for back to school immunizations for children entering kindergarten, 8th grade and 12th grade.

The Phelps Maries County Health Department is holding the back to school immunization clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the department’s location at 200 N. Main St. in Rolla.

The department said appointments are offered on a walk-in, first come first serve basis. Parents or guardians should bring their medicaid or primary insurance card as well as  shot records.

Residents can find the 2020-2021 Missouri School Immunization Requirements at https://health.mo.gov/living/wellness/immunizations/pdf/2021schoolrequirements.pdf.  The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services states all students must present documentation of up-to-date immunization status, including month, day and year of each immunization before attending school. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices allows a four-day grace period, where students in all grade levels may receive immunizations up to four days before the due date.
