Back the Blue is set for Saturday to support the area’s law enforcement and first responders.

Back the Blue organizers said the event is to be a peaceful, family-friendly event, and residents are encouraged to bring their American flags, Back the Blue flags and first responder flags.

The event will kick off at Rolla Lions Club Park at 9:30 a.m., where there will be small events before the cruise starts at 10 a.m.

Community members should use the south entrance on U.S. Route 63 and not the main entrance to enter Rolla Lions Club Park, located at 1061 S. Bishop Ave. Everyone will leave the park in their vehicles at 10 a.m., head north on Route 63, make a right turn onto Tenth St., a right turn on Forum Drive and then travel back to Rolla Lions Club Park.

There will be porta potties located by the park’s pavilions. Community members are encouraged to bring a cooler since no food or drinks will be served.

Event organizers recommend residents remain inside their vehicles or stay close to their vehicles at the event to maintain six feet of social distancing. No pets will be allowed. ATV’s and UTV’s are not permitted.

Flags will not be provided and are not required to participate in the event.
