The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Springfield has issued a Flood Warning for the Gasconade River at Jerome impacting Phelps County. The National Weather Service stated individuals with property and livestock along the river should continue to monitor river conditions. The Gasconade River at Jerome is expected to rise above flood stage Sunday night and continue to rise to near 16.3 feet by Monday morning. The river will fall below flood stage before midnight Monday, according to the National Weather Service’s flash flood warning for the area at 9:33 p.m. Saturday.

The weather service’s flash flood watch for Rolla remains in effect until 11 a.m. Sunday.
