Beginning today, everyone entering the Fort Leonard Wood Commissary must wear a face covering; however, medical grade face coverings are not required.

Customers must supply their own face coverings and must keep their face coverings on while inside the store. Examples of non-medical face coverings customers can use are cloth masks, neck gaiters, scarves and bandanas.

According to Marian Gilbert, Commissary Store Manager, in a release on Thursday, these safety measures are being put in place to keep as many people healthy as possible and halt the spread of COVID-19.

The Commissary has implemented Designated Shopping from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Monday through Friday for those 65 years old and older, as well as eligible Tier 1 employees.

Regular shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday.

ID cards will be checked at the door and limits may apply to some items. As an added precaution, the use of reusable bags has been discontinued.
