The Phelps Maries County Health Department said the department is currently not monitoring any positive cases of coronavirus disease 2019 for Phelps or Maries counties, since all current cases have been cleared. Yet, the department continues to have an increase in the number of individuals who are under quarantine orders.

All prior positive coronavirus cases in Phelps and Maries counties have been classified as recovered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s clinical guidance for recovery or following two repeat negative tests at least 24 hours apart, the department said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

The department did report that there continues to be an increase in the number of individuals who have had direct contact with a positive coronavirus case and individuals quarantined. Those under quarantine orders have not been tested for the virus or have not tested positive, according to the department's update on Wednesday.

The department said they are monitoring these cases at least two times per day. 

There has been a total of 68 known tests for coronavirus in Phelps County, with one confirmed case, now classified as recovered. In Maries County, there has been a total of 15 known tests for coronavirus, with two confirmed cases, now classified as recovered, according to the department's report at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
