Rolla Public Schools' Board of Education recognized one of the district’s students, Sudatta Hor, whose musical prowess led him to attend and perform at the All National Honor Ensembles in Orlando.

The National Association of Music Educators hosts the All National Conference Band. The best high school musicians from every state send in a video audition to the association.

Judges select musicians from those audition videos to perform with the national honor ensembles, president-elect of Rolla Public Schools Board of Education Jim Packard said at the board meeting.

Musicians come from all over the country and rehearse with a world-class conductor for four days in November each year. In the last of those four days, the musicians perform a concert.

Hor has also participated in the Missouri All-State Band.
