Guests of this year's Christkindl Markt, will find custom seating on Saturday, Dec. 7.
In collaboration with members of the Christkindl Markt and the sister city committee, 60 custom stools have been produced by the Construction Trades classes at Rolla Technical Institute.
The annual event, a salute to Rolla’s Sister City - Sondershausen, Germany, will be held from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on the Public House Brewing company parking lot in downtown Rolla. Attendees will have the wooden stools to sit on while enjoying the entertainment and food throughout the day.
“The design allows the stools to be stacked when we are storing them,” said Sister City committee member Bill Bicknell. “The RTI students utilized their carpentry skills to cut the various sizes of wood at precise angles. Then they assembled them, stained them and sealed the wood.”
