Rolla Public Schools knows that going to school every day is a crucial part of educational success and an additional incentive for students to get fired up to attend class is the chance to ride to school one morning in a fire truck.
Students, who are chosen, from Mark Twain Elementary, Truman Elementary and Wyman Elementary, are picked up at their house and taken to school by the Rolla Rural Fire Protection District.
Students are rewarded in mid-November, late January and mid-April.
