The Rolla girls soccer team (5-4-3, 3-0 OC) traveled to Waynesville for an Ozark Conference matchup on Tuesday, April 16. The Lady Bulldogs were able to get their fifth win in their last seven games with a 1-0 shutout.

Ellie Rodgers lifted Rolla to victory with the lone goal of the game just before the half. Jaelyn Grommett fired in a corner kick just before the break and Rodgers was able to get a foot on the ball to give Rolla a 1-0 lead at the half.

The Lady Bulldogs couldn't find another goal in the second half, but they played excellent defense all afternoon to finish off a 1-0 win. Eden Potter made her second start of the season and earned her second straight shutout in goal.

"It’s always tough for us to go to Waynesville and get a good result," said head coach Mike Howard on the game. "Very proud of our effort last night. Ellie Rodgers had an outstanding game and Eden Potter was great in goal. Another tough road conference game at Camdenton Thursday."

The JV also earned a victory, winning 2-1 to bring their record on the season to 4-3-1.

The Lady Bulldogs will cap off the week with a pair of games. First they'll travel to Camdenton on Thursday, before hosting Southern Boone on Friday.
