The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a Frost Advisory for Rolla that is in effect for from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday.
Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid 30s tonight over area east of Highway 65. Light winds and clear skies will allow for the development of frost in Rolla after 12 a.m.
According to the National Weather Service, frost development could damage sensitive plants and vegetation since the growing season has already started.
A Frost Advisory means that widespread frost is expected. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service has also issued a Winter Weather Advisory that remains in effect for Rolla until 10 a.m. today.
Snow accumulations of up to one inch are expected, according to the National Weather Service, with winds gusting as high as 35 mph in Rolla. Some roads and bridges could get slick.
