A pair of local boys players earned All-State honors this week, as Rolla's Alec Buhr and St. James' Andrew Branson earned recognition.

Buhr is fresh off being named All-Conference, All-District and Central Missouri Media All-District after a spectacular senior season. Buhr led Rolla with 17 points per game to go along with six rebounds, four assists and three steals per game.

Branson earned All-State honors after powering the Tigers to a State Quarterfinal appearance. Branson was St. James' leading scorer with 22.4 points per game. He was an all-around star for St. James, adding five rebounds, three assists and three steals per contest. Branson finished the season with a 38-point performance the the Tigers' State Quarterfinal and finished the season with 671 points, the most in the last four decades for any Tiger basketball player. He also scored 47 points in a game this season, the highest total for a Tiger in 40 years.
