The Rolla volleyball team traveled to West Plains for an Ozark Conference match on Thursday, Sept. 27. The Lady Bulldogs had two set sweeps at all three levels on the night.

The varsity had two strong sets in a 25-15, 25-18 win. Megan Brown and Rebecca Janke both had strong offensive nights with five kills a piece. The Lady Bulldogs also served well as a team all night with 10 aces. Sydney Hulbert led the charge with three aces on the night. Defensively, Sophie Moreland had a strong night as the libero with eight digs.

The freshmen made quick work in the first set of their win with a 25-12 win, before being driven to the brink in their second set. The Lady Bulldogs were able to hold on for a 26-24 win to sweep the match. Taniya Corley had a great night serving with 15 points in her serving rotation. The JV won comfortably in straight sets 25-17, 25-14. Rolla had a great night serving, as Gretchen Woodward had 11 points in her serving rotation, while Chelsie Steen added 10.

Rolla will host their home tournament this weekend with matches starting at 9 a.m. Rolla's first match will be against Waynesville at 10 a.m. Bracket play is scheduled to begin at 1:45.
