The Rec softball leagues were back at it this week with the men's league in action on Tuesday, July 17. The co-ed league was scheduled to play on Thursday, July 19, but was rained out.

The men's league hit the field first this week and the first field of games opened with a blowout. Pruvit kicked things off with an easy 10-1 win over No Drama. The game saw home runs from Dalton Friend, Josh McBride and Doy Graham. No Drama bounced back offensively in their next game, but still couldn't come up with a win against Dirty MO Posse. No Drama was able to take a brief 9-8 lead in the fifth inning, but Dirty MO Posse scored another four runs in the sixth to take the lead back for good on their way to a 15-11 win. Dirty MO Posse then fought their way out of a 10-7 hole against Unknowns for a come from behind 14-11 win to cap off games on the first field.

The Browns kicked off games on Kwantes field with an offensive showcase. They mashed in 21 runs in a blowout 21-13 win over Legends Auto, which included a home run from Michael Jeffers. McDonald's followed that up with a matchup against Miller 64. Miller tried to make a late comeback with four runs in the seventh inning, but McDonalds came right back with another four runs of their own to hold onto a 17-12 win. Games on Kwantes ended with another offensive explosion. No Drama 2 smacked in run after run for a 22-16 win over DQ. That game was highlighted by an 11-run fifth inning by No Drama 2, which followed a nine-run inning from DQ in the fourth.

The third and final field of games was Morgan, which also started off with a blowout. Unknowns opened up with a 22-11 rout of Shockers thanks to a pair of home runs by Bernie Westover, as well as dingers from Rhyen Romines and Dakota Chapman. Key Sport then outlasted the Shockeds 14-12. Key Sport got out to an early 9-7 lead thanks to an eight-run second and they wouldn't relinquish that lead. Key Sport then followed that by cruising past American Taco Company 22-11, powered by home runs from Bill Skaggs, Brendon Wild and Dan Kernes.
