The St. James girls soccer team (9-5, 1-5 FRC) hosted St. Clair for a Four Rivers Conference matchup on Monday, April 30. St. Clair got out to a quick lead and the Lady Tigers couldn't make a comeback in a 4-0 loss.

St. Clair got out to a fast start with a goal in the 12th minute. The added another goal in the 32nd minute to stretch their lead to 2-0 at the half. St. Clair added two more after the half to win 4-0.

"It's hard to win games when the ball finds the net so easily for them and we couldn't put any offense together," said assistant coach Beau Moreland of the loss. "The girls had their best individual performance, but not their best team performance. All in all, it's a work in progress. We are focused on being the best team we can be for Districts and games like St. Clair are good practices."

The Lady Tigers will look to bounce back with a trip to Dixon on Thursday.
