The Rolla golf team took part in the Waynesville Invitational on Monday, April 16.

The Bulldogs sent a full varsity and JV lineup and played great at both levels. The tournament had a different format than usual, as each team had two players play individually, two players played best ball and another two players scrambled. Rolla finished in the top three in each event.

Matt Drallmeier and Jeriah Jordan played individually for the varsity, while Evan Colench and Trace Giesler played for the JV. Drallmeier medaled for Rolla, shooting a +6 78 to place third. Jordan shot an 88, Colench shot a 95 and Giesler shot a 99.

Cameron Copeland and Logan Choi won the scramble portion of the day by shooting a 75. Evan Moore and Jack Gesualdi then took second in the best ball competition with a score of 82.

Overall, the varsity team took second place, while the JV took fourth in the eight team event. This was the first time the JV was able to play in an 18-hole tournament.

Next up is a quad at Osage against the Indians, Lebanon and Waynesville on Thursday, April 19.
