WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Missouri S&T's women's track & field team had several top 10 finishes Friday at the Mule Relays at the University of Central Missouri, including a first place finish by Amanda Wetzel (Keller, TX/Keller) in the pole vault.

Wetzel won the pole vault competition at UCM for the second week in succession with a clearance of 12-1½, while Skyler Ruszkowski (League City, TX/Clear Falls) had a runner-up showing in the high jump, where she cleared 5-5 to finish in second place.

The Lady Miners had five of the top nine finishers in the mile, led by Megan Schulte(Columbia, MO/Rock Bridge)'s second place finish in 5:27.82.  Kennedy Duffy(Rochester, IL/Rochester) finished third in 5:36.08 and Hannah Shearer (Conroe, TX/The Woodlands Christian Academy) was right behind her in fourth in 5:41.89, while Tori Bonnot (Jefferson City, MO/Jefferson City) was sixth in 5:43.71 and Anne Vernon(Neosho, MO/Neosho) finished ninth in 5:46.05.

Aly VanCardo (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) recorded a third place finish in the 800-meters with her time of 2:26.52, while Kim Huskey (Hillsboro, MO/Grandview HS) finished fourth in the 400-meters with a time of 1:06.03 as did Cambria Ryckman (Rolla, MO/Rolla) in the triple jump with a mark of 31-10.  Anne Simpson (St. Louis, MO/Lindbergh) ended up sixth in the long jump with a leap of 15-1½.

The Lady Miners' next competition will take place next weekend at Missouri Southern in Joplin.  The men's meet at UCM will take place on Saturday.
