The cause of a fire that destroyed a barn north of Rolla early Sunday evening appears to be accidental, according to the Rolla Rural Fire Protection District.

The cause of a fire that destroyed a barn north of Rolla early Sunday evening appears to be accidental, according to the Rolla Rural Fire Protection District.
There was no one inside the barn at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.
The blaze was reported in the 11000 block of State Route HH, located off State Route E, at about about 6:06 p.m. July 24, with both the Rolla Rural Fire Protection District and Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District providing aid.
Fire crews were told that the barn, which had an ATV lawn mower and half full of hay, was fully engulfed.
An initial report that there was a tractor inside the barn turned out to be false.
