A New Jersey man who was a passenger in a tractor-trailer traveling through Pulaski County Tuesday evening died when the semi overturned on Interstate 44.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol states that Shay Bohadana, 37, of Brigantine, New Jersey, was killed in the wreck that occurred around 8:25 p.m. on the interstate, about 3 miles east of St. Robert.
Pulaski County Coroner Mikel Hartness pronounced Bohadana dead at 8:48 p.m. His next of kin was notified.
Juan C. Diaz-Casmayor, 46, of West New York, New Jersey, was driving the 2015 Freightliner tractor-trailer westbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road. The tractor-trailer then returned the road and overturned off the left side of the road into the median.
Diaz-Casmayor suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Pulaski County EMS crews.
The patrol report states Bohadana was not wearing a seat belt, but that Diaz-Casmayor was wearing one.
There was extensive damage to the semi.
This was the second traffic fatality reported in December in the patrol’s Troop I region, which covers Pulaski and five other counties in south central Missouri, and the 28th traffic fatality reported for the year.
