Born on July 4, 1981, Nick passed away at age 31 on November 9, 2012 after a courageous 9-year battle with brain cancer. In 2000 he graduated from Rolla High School, where he enjoyed being a member of the marching band drumline.

In 2005 he received a bachelor’s degree in Music Business from the University of Memphis. Nick was an avid music fan with an encyclopedic knowledge of popular music. As an adult, he worked in St. Louis in music-related jobs, primarily at The Pageant, a concert venue. Nick was an intelligent, witty, creative, and caring young man who never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He loved his family, his many friends, music, and working at The Pageant.

Nick is survived by his parents, Mark and Libby Oldham of Rolla; his brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Kris Oldham of Springfield; his maternal grandparents, Mac and Mary Lou McCluskey of Columbia; his maternal aunt and uncle, Nancy and George Moore of Tucson, AZ; his paternal aunt, Judy Chambers of Chatham, IL; and five cousins.

A reception in Nick’s honor will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16 in the Turner Room in the Havener Center, Missouri University of Science and Technology. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis or the American Brain Tumor Association would be appreciated.
