Man sentenced on federal meth charges

Jeffrey S. Pingleton was sentenced to 110 months in prison on methamphetamine charges, Acting United States Attorney Michael W. Reap announced today.

Pingleton, 31, Pevely, MO, pleaded guilty July 30; co-defendant Cathy L. Wallace, 34, Pevely, MO, pleaded guilty on September 29.

Both entered pleas to one felony count of conspiracy to possess pseudoephedrine, knowing that it would be used to manufacture methamphetamine for their involvement in a methamphetamine conspiracy between June 1, 2008 and January 1, 2009, in Jefferson County.  Both defendants appeared before United States District Judge Carol E. Jackson.

Wallace is scheduled for sentencing on December 22, 2009.

Reap commended the work on the case by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
