Two People Sentenced On Federal Methamphetamine Related Charges

David L. Dace was sentenced to 84 months in prison, and Shawna R. Orlosky was sentenced to 3 years probation on federal methamphetamine charges, for activity in St. Louis County, United States Attorney Richard G. Callahan announced today.

David L. Dace, 32, Festus, MO; and Shawna R. Orlosky, 37, Festus, MO, each pleaded guilty July 9, 2009, to one felony count of possession of pseudoephedrine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. According to court documents, David Dace purchased more than 106 grams of pseudoephedrine between April 2007 and October 2008 with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. Shawna Orlosky purchased more than 95 grams of pseudoephedrine between February 2007 and October 2008. They each appeared for sentencing before United States District Judge Jean C. Hamilton.

Callahan commended the work on the case by the St. Louis County Police Department, and Special Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer Winfield, who handled the case for the U.S. Attorney's Office.
