Rockers-Atwell of Columbia swept through the field undefeated to capture the five-team 2009 Amateur Softball Association (ASA) Girls’ 14-Under Class A Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament, held Saturday and Sunday at Ber Juan Park.

The state champion Rockers included three players from Rolla -- Andrea Zalis, Shakira Gonzalez and Boh Rafter.

The Rockers finished the double-elimination tournament with a 4-0 record.
Second place went to Central Missouri Crush from Jefferson City and third place finishers were the Silver Streaks from Hannibal.

In the first round the Rockers shut out the Missouri Wildcats from Republic 5-0 and then clippedCentral Missouri Crush 1-0. In the finals of the winners bracket the Rockers got past Silver Streaks 6-2.

And in the championship game the Rockers stopped Central Missouri Crush in a rematch, 7-3.
