Before the game Rolla High School football head coach Josh Smith said his Bulldogs needed to play close to flawless to knock off a strong Lebanon Yellow Jacket squad.
However, it was Lebanon that performed more to that level.
And according to a change in the Ozark Conference rules for this year and next, Rolla High officials feel that Lebanon clinched at least a share of the league title when it defeated the Bulldogs 20-6 Friday in front of a full house at Jacket Stadium.
Lebanon is now 5-0 overall and in the league while Rolla falls to 4-1 overall and in the OC.
Both Smith and RHS Athletic Director Cathy Shoup said it is their understanding that the Ozark Conference champion would be determined the first six weeks of the season both this year and next, due to the fact that some league teams are members of five-team districts instead of four-team districts.
