The Rolla Junior High School freshman girls’ basketball team posted a 38-28 victory over Joplin Thursday at the Rolla High School practice gym.
Rolla took a 13-6 lead after the first quarter and went into halftime up 17-12. Joplin outscored Rolla 10-4 in the third period to cling to a 22-21 edge entering the fourth period. However, Rolla outscored the Lady Eagles 17-6 in the final period.
Paige Newkirk paced the host Lady Bullpups with 14 points.
