Log Cabin Advance, Fairground Auto Plaza, On the Run @ Mobil and Hi-Tech Collision/Ron Dishman Towing were the first-half champions of the Rolla Men’s Softball League.
After four consecutive rained-out weeks the men’s league’s first half finally ended on Tuesday.The second half of the league is to begin next week.
Log Cabin Advance won the Orange Division title with a 6-1 record. Flett Enterprises, LLC was also 6-1 and the two teams split a pair of games. Log Cabin Advance won the net-run tiebreaker (runs scored minus runs allowed). Also in the Orange Division Imo’s Pizza was 3-4, Bruno’s/Mid-America Bank/Farmer’[s Insurance 3-4, Marine Detachment 2-5 and Fidelity 1-6.
In the Blue Division Fairground Auto Plaza won with a 6-1 mark while Country Mart was 6-2, Kingdom Kia 5-2, Pepsi 3-4, Alex Pizza 3-4, McDonald’s 2-5 and Big O Tires 0-7.
In the Red Division On the Run @ Mobil won with a perfect 7-0 mark while Newkirk Auction Co. was 6-1, Missouri Engineering 4-3, Creech Furniture 3-4, Extreme Life Rolla 3-4, Garner’s Heating & Ref. 2-5, Outsiders 2-5 and Cornerstone Pharmacy 1-6.
In the Green Division Hi-Tech Collision/Ron Dishman Towing had a 6-1 record while Tater Patch was 5-2, Dave’s-Rehab 5-3, Hoover Hogs 3-4, Remax 3-4, Butler Supply 3-4 and Frieda’s Closet 0-7.

Extreme Life Rolla 15, Garner’s Heating & Ref. 13: Two runs in the eighth inning gave Extreme Life Rolla the win. Chris Cremer blasted two homers, two doubles and scored three runs while John Stevens had three hits and scored three runs and Cody Woody had a double and two singles for the winners. Damon Gideon and Luke Anderson each had three hits and scored three runs for Garner’s.
Extreme Life Rolla 12, Missouri Engineering 9: Stevens, Cremer and Mark Miller each had three hits and scored three runs as Extreme Life Rolla got past Missouri Engineering. Frank Blum had a double, single and scored twice and Dave Shore had a single and scored twice for Missouri Engineering.
On the Run @ Mobil 15, Garner’s 13: Shawn Kelley belted a triple, two singles and scored twice while David Chirban had two doubles and scored twice as On the Run @ Mobil topped Garner’s 15-13. Damon Gideon had three hits and scored four runs and Luke Anderson had two triples, a double and scored twice for Garner’s.
On the Run @ Mobil 26, Cornerstone 9: David Chirban smacked a homer, two doubles, two singles and scored five runs while Scott Oden had four hits and scored four runs and Nathan Chirban had a triple, double, single and scored three times as On the Run @ Mobil topped Cornerstone. Martens had a homer, single and scored twice for Cornerstone.
Creech Furniture 22, Outsiders 16: Josh Ratcliff had a homer, two singles and scored three runs while Bryan Scott and Jake Shassere each had three hits and scored three times as Creech Furniture topped the Outsiders. Lem Moore had four hits and scored three runs while Charlie Hudson and Scott Kemper each had three hits and scored three times for the Outsiders.
Cornerstone Pharmacy 11, Creech Furniture 10: J.R. Daniels’ single drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Cornerstone Pharmacy clipped Creech Furniture. Daniels had three hits and scored twice while Hank Harper had a triple, single and scored twice for the winners. Brian Rickert had three hits and scored three runs and Brian Johns had a triple and double for Creech Furniture.
Newkirk Auction 20, Outsiders 10: Chuck Hitch had a homer, triple, two doubles and scored twice while Doy Graham had a triple, double, two singles and scored four runs and anthony Lombardo homered and doubled as Newkirk Auction topped the Outsiders. Lem Moore had four hits and scored twice and Scott Stroff had three hits for the Outsiders.
Newkirk Auction 23, Missouri Engineering 8: Graham had a homer and triple while Jake Huffman and Joe Lombardo each had five hits as Newkirk Auction topped Missouri Engineering. Derick York had a triple while Josh Richards had three hits for Missouri Engineering.
Fairground 19, Pepsi 2: Clay Adams had four hits and scored three runs while Barry Perkins had three hits and scored three runs as Fairground Auto Plaza beat Pepsi. Mike Thompson had two hits and scored a run for Pepsi.
Kingdom Kia 18, Country Mart 7: Tim Veo and Adam Veo each had three hits and scored three runs while John Earl had three hits as Kingdom Kia beat Country Mart. Chris Waldron had two hits and scored a run for Country Mart.
Kingdom Kia 20, Big O Tires 6: Billy Skaggs clubbed a pair of homers and Jeff Heniff had three hits and scored three times as Kingdom Kia topped Big O Tires. Dan Whitaker had three hits and Richard Cabanas had a double and single for Big O Tires.
Country Mart 16, Big O Tires 8: Oz Lietz had a triple, two singles and scored twice and James Trusler had a double and two singles as Country Mart topped Big O Tires. Nate Kinard had a double, single and scored twice and Paul Hanson had three hits for Big O Tires.
Alex Pizza 7, McDonald’s 6: Ryan Claus’ triple scored Jim Spooner with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Alex Pizza won. Darren Voight had three hits and scored twice for the winners while Dustin Woody had a double, single and scored twice. Scott Oden had a triple and single and Jeremy Whitson doubled and singled for McDonald’s.
Flett Enterprises 7, Imo’s Pizza 0: Flett Enterprises won by forfeit.
