The Rolla High School boys’ basketball junior varsity team finished second in the Pacific Tournament, held last week.
On Saturday morning Rolla defeated host Pacific 39-38 in the semifinals. Pacific led 8-6 after the first period and Rolla was up 17-13 at halftime. Rolla took a 27-24 edge into the fourth quarter.
Freshman forward Caleb Copeland netted 20 points to lead Rolla.
In the championship game Saturday afternoon Rolla lost to St. Francis Borgia 59-31.
Borgia took a 12-4 lead after the first period and was up 25-9 at halftime. It was 49-24 entering the fourth quarter.
Copeland and Tyler Kean each had eight points for Rolla.
