The Wood, Jones & Associates team of Dick Jones, Lennox Jones, Dave Watkins and Jimmy Williams fired 13-under-par 57 to win the annual Boys and Girls Town of Missouri Golf Tournament, held Monday, Aug. 23 at Oak Meadow Country Club.
There were 27 teams involved in the four-person scramble and a total of 108 golfers participated.
Proceeds raised from the event went toward funding projects for Great Circle/Boys and Girls Town of Missouri/Edgewood Children’s Center. Sponsoring the event was the St. James organization of Boys and Girls Town.
The team of Jones, Jones, Watkins and Williams won Championship Flight in a scorecard playoff.
The A Flight winner was the Key Sport Shop foursome of Joe Gorman, Sarah Gorman, Will Marshall and Gary Miles.
B Flight winner was the Phelps County Regional Medical Center squad of Sara Becker, Mary Bahr, Sue Killian and Lora Hounsom.
Longest drive contest winners were Dwaine Miles in the men’s division and Lori Moss in the women’s division.
Closest to the pin on Hole 7 was Lee Buhr for the men and Sara Becker for the women. Closest to the pin on the second shot at Hole No. 11 was Dwaine Miles.
Title sponsor of the event was Phelps County Bank while gold sponsor was Mo-Sci Corporation and silver sponsor was Dr. Mitch Esquibel, Oral Surgery.
