The Lady Bulldogs went 1-2 in the Quincy Notre Dame Tournament over the weekend, losing 3-0 to Quincy Notre Dame and 1-0 to Morton, Ill. before rebounding to beat Bloomington Catholic 5-0.
Rolla’s match with the host school on Friday was tied 0-0 at half, but Quincy Notre Dame notched two goals in the first four minutes of the second half to totally change the complexion of the game. The Lady Raiders added another goal five minutes later, capping all the scoring in the contest.
On Saturday, Morton scored the only goal of the game in the middle of the first half.
In the second game, Rolla snapped a three-game losing streak and a 360-minute scoreless streak with a five-goal outburst. Sophomores Jaclyn Standfast and Olivia Cox each had two goals and junior Ashley Kerr added a goal and two assists. Emily Spooner and Katelyn Maddy had an assist apiece.
It was keeper Adrian Pogue’s 10th shutout of the season.
