The Rolla High School football team’s hopes of a district championship and undefeated regular season was dashed in Camdenton on Friday night, as the Bulldogs lost to the Lakers 21-13.
Rolla falls to 9-1 overall and 2-1 in Class 5 District 6 play. Camdenton improves to 7-3 and 2-1.
Waynesville defeated Lebanon in the other District 6 game. That left both Waynesville and Lebanon with 1-2 district records and gives Camdenton the district title. Rolla wins the district’s second playoff berth.
Rolla would have needed Lebanon to beat Waynesville to gain the district crown.
Rolla will play in Class 5 Regional playoff action Wednesday night. The Bulldogs’ opponent will be confirmed by The Missouri State High School Activities Association on Saturday.
Camdenton receives a first-round playoff bye and will play in sectional action Nov. 9.
