For the second straight year Rolla High School will host a four-team Key Sport Tip-Off boys’ and girls’ basketball event to begin the 2009-10 basketball season on Saturday, Nov. 28.
The boys’ and girls’ varsity and junior varsity teams from the Rolla, Salem, Northwest and Clayton schools will participate in the season-opening event.
Games will be played in the Rolla High School main and practice gyms. Cost is $3 for persons age 6-up. All teams and spectators are asked to enter through the main gym entrance, located in the lower parking lot.
Doors will open at 11 a.m.
Home teams will wear white uniforms; visitors will were dark uniforms.
“We are excited to host the second year of the Key Sport Tip-Off,” said RHS Athletic Director Kelly Hinshaw. “We feel it is a good way for the communities of Rolla and Salem to start the high school basketball season. It gives fans the opportunity to support both the boys’ and girls’ programs and see a couple of teams that they might normally not see.”

1:30 p.m.: Salem varsity boys vs. Northwest
3 p.m.: Rolla varsity girls vs. Clayton
4:30 p.m.: Rolla varsity boys vs. Clayton
Practice Gym
Noon: Salem jayvee boys vs. Northwest
1:30 p.m.: Salem jayvee girls vs. Northwest
3 p.m. Rolla jayvee boys vs. Clayton
4:30 p.m.: Rolla jayvee girls vs. Clayton
