Three RHS softball players honored

Three members of the Rolla High School softball team have earned all-region and/or all-district honors.

Sophomore Maegen Shults was named to the Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association (MHSFCA) Class 4 All-Region 1 Second-Team as an outfielder.

In addition Shults as an outfielder, freshman outfielder Andrea Zalis and sophomore first baseman Heather Jones were selected to the Missouri Class 4 All-District 3 Team.

Shults batted .438 for the Lady Bulldogs this past season with seven doubles, seven triples, 27 RBI, one homer and 15 runs scored.

Zalis batted .346 with five doubles, one triple and 13 runs scored. Shults and Zalis also shared the pitching duties for RHS.

Jones hit .329 with two triples, 10 RBI and 13 runs scored.
