Dixon’s Jared Nash led a contingent of local players at the Missouri Junior Amateur Championship held Tuesday and Wednesday at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex just north of Kansas City.
Nash finished in a tie for 10th in a field of 180 golfers at the Missouri Golf Association event with a 4-over-par 75-73--148.
The 14-18-year-olds played on the Posse Course. Ryan Marks of Warrensburg won the tournament with a 4-under-par 69-71--140. He nipped David Catt of Shawnee, Kan. by one stroke. Catt finished with a 69-72--141.
Rolla’s Chris Martin carded a 74-79--153, tying for 37th. Rolla’s Will Baylor tied for 67th with a 79-79--158. Rolla’s Brandon Weaver tied for 75th with a 78-81--159.
The 12- and 13-year-olds played on the Outlaw Course. Rolla’s Sam Steelman placed ninth with a 112-103--215.
The next junior tournament conducted by the MGA is the Ken Lanning Championship to be held July 21-22 at Oak Meadow Country Club in Rolla.
