Rolla cruises by Joplin, 4-1

The Rolla High School girls soccer team beat Joplin 4-1 Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 11-4 overall and 5-2 in the Ozark Conference.

RHS scored three goals in the first half and led 3-1 at halftime before adding another goal in the second half.

Katelyn Maddy scored the first goal on an assist from Kim Carter. Ellen Spooner netted the next goal on an assist from Ashley Kerr.

Olivia Cox had the final two goals, one on an assist from Kerr and the other unassisted.

Rolla won the junior varsity contest 1-0 to improve to 10-2. Kara Mace scored the goal on an assist from Kaylyn Stoll.

Another long travel day looms today, as Rolla will play at West Plains with the varsity playing first at 5 p.m.
