Rolla Public Schools will hold a wrestling camp on June 10-13 at Rolla High School.
Featured instructors will include new RHS wrestling coach Kellen Laws; Dustin Wiles. assistant coach at Missouri Baptist, two-time NCAA qualifier for University of Pennsylvania, and two-time Missouri state champion; Marcus Hoehn, current starter for University of Missouri at 141 pounds and four-time Missouri state medalist; and Andrew Sherry, wrestles for the University of Missouri at 157 pounds.
The camp will be structured to provide quality one-on-one instruction on both fundamental and advanced techniques. Instruction will use a variety of drills to improve new and existing techniques and skills from your feet and on the mat.
There will be some live competition to apply practiced techniques. There will also be sessions of requested interest, question/answer sessions, and also a few wrestling games and fun activities.
There are two sessions. Session 1 is for participants in grades 2-5 or in older age groups but have no experience. It meets from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day. Session 2 is for experienced wrestlers in grades 6-12. It meets from 1-5 p.m. each day.
The cost is $70 for Session 1 if you register early or $90 the day of the camp and $100 for Session 2 if you register early or $120 the day of the camp.
Each wrestler will receive a camp t-shirt.
