Missouri S&T sophomore Molly Clement of Souderten, Pa., has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference's “Field Athlete of the Week” for her performance last weekend at the Missouri Southern Invitational.
Clement won the pole vault competition by six inches, clearing 11-7 ¾ to improve her NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the process. She led a contingent of Lady Miners that dominated the pole vault competition at Missouri Southern, as Missouri S&T had four of the top eight finishers in the event Saturday.
The Lady Miners will compete this weekend at the Keck Invitational at Illinois Wesleyan College in Bloomington, Ill.
