The Missouri S&T volleyball team fell to William Woods in four sets 3-1 (14-25, 18-25, 25-17, 22-25) on Tuesday evening at the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.
The opening set was tight early on as it was tied four times in the first 18 points before William Woods (26-6) went on a 13-4 run midway through to take its biggest lead of the set at 22-13. The Lady Miners (10-25) would cut it to eight on a service error, but the Owls scored the final three points of the frame to take the set 25-14.
WWU hit 38.7 percent in the opening stanza recording 13 kills against one error while S&T had eight kills in 29 chances.
