Several members of the Rolla High School boys’ soccer team have been named to the Class 3 District 10 and Ozark Conference teams.
The Bulldogs finished the season with a 12-8-2 record, advancing to the championship game of the district tournament before losing 1-0 in two overtimes to Camdenton in the title game. RHS also finished third in the Ozark Conference race.
RHS players selected to the all-district first team were junior midfielder Jason Howard, senior back Nathan Fraley and senior midfielder Cody Martin. Bulldogs on the second team were senior forward Kyle Keebey, junior midfielder David Drewniak and senior back Chris Sanders. Honorable mention selections were senior midfielder Blayne Shockley, senior midfielder Joel Laney and sophomore back Miles Wilson.
Fraley was co-district defensive player of the year, along with Waynesville’s Gehrig Haberstock.
The district MVP was Camdenton’s Jeff Dorhauer while Camdenton’s Rayder Bennett was the district’s offensive player of the year.
Waynesville’s Mike Armstrong was named the district coach of the year.
Rolla players named to the All-Ozark Conference First Team were Fraley and Howard while Martin and Keebey were second-team selections and Sanders and Drewniak were all-league honorable mention.
Dorhauer was named Ozark Conference Player of the Year while Camdenton’s Jason Ingold was the league coach of the year.
Keebey had 14 goals and four assists this season while Martin had 10 goals and 10 assists; Howard nine goals and four assists, and Shockley seven goals and six assists.
