The Rolla High School varsity and junior varsity baseball team’s games with Jefferson City scheduled for Thursday were postponed due to weather and field conditions.

A field of 24, four-person scramble teams competed Monday in the annual Missouri S&T Athletic Department Golf Tournament at Oak Meadow Country Club.

In addition to district medalist J.D. Nash, of Newburg, the Newburg Wolves will also be sending three more of its golf team members to the state tournament May 12 and 13 at Silo Ridge Golf Course in Bolivar.

Shawn Williams had two hits and scored three runs while Brice Adams had a double, single and scored twice and Lauren Bookout had three hits as Beverage Mart topped Fidelity12-2 in the season-opening night of Rolla coed softball upper division action on Thursday, May 1 at Ber Juan Park. Paul Hanson and Barb Adam each had hits and scored runs for Fidelity.

The Rolla High School varsity and junior varsity baseball games with St. Clair scheduled for Wednesday in St. Clair were canceled due to weather and field conditions. The games will not be rescheduled.

The Rolla High School girls soccer team mounted a charge late, but had it fall a bit short, as the Lady Bulldogs lost 3-2 to Helias at Kiwanis Field Tuesday.

The Rolla High School baseball team claimed the Fulton Tournament title Tuesday night, besting host Fulton 10-2 in the championship game behind a great night from staff ace Dalton Friend.

Four cyclists with Rolla ties competed in Syllamo's Revenge held on Saturday, May 3 in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.

Chris Bowe and Josh Stephens combined to throw a four-hitter and the Bulldogs scored at least two runs in each at bat, as the Rolla High School baseball team blasted Salem 14-0 Monday night.

The Rolla High School girls soccer team smoked Sullivan 10-0 Monday night, improving to 15-7.

The Lady Bulldogs went 1-2 in the Quincy Notre Dame Tournament over the weekend, losing 3-0 to Quincy Notre Dame and 1-0 to Morton, Ill. before rebounding to beat Bloomington Catholic 5-0.
