Ozark Conference champion Rolla High School was well-represented on the 2009 All-Ozark Conference football team, which was recently announced.
A total of 22 Bulldogs in 26 different positions were selected all-conference first-team, second-team or honorable mention.
Rolla finished 10-2 overall, losing in four overtimes to Parkway North in the Class 5 Sectionals last week. The Bulldogs were a perfect 7-0 in Ozark Conference play.
RHS junior linebacker Jeremy Williams was named the Ozark Conference Defensive Player of the Year while first-year Bulldog head coach Josh Smith was chosen Ozark Conference Coach of the Year.
The all-conference selections were made by the league head coaches last week and announced this week.
Rolla all-league first-team selections included junior running back Jonny Canhos, senior running back Masen Ridenhour, senior receiver Gavin Otte and senior linemen Ernest Grayer, Trevor McAllister, Jon Fish and Andrew Fridley on offense and linebackers Jeremy Williams, senior Trent Boyer and senior Zach Mittendorf, and senior defensive backs Trevor Dinsdale and Otte.
Bulldog second-team selections included junior quarterback Jake Morris, Dinsdale at receiver, senior tight end Jake Johnson and senior lineman Cole Arthur on offense and senior lineman Brendan Harris, junior linebackers Drew Hagni and Jamie Phelps and senior back Josh Arikian on defense. Named to the second-team special team as place-kicker was junior Jason Howard.
Rolla honorable mention selections were Hagni at tight end; senior defensive linemen Ryan Heflin, Daniel Donius and Chad Perkins, and Dinsdale at punter.
