The Missouri Unknown, a local 18U girls fastpitch softball team, took second place in the AFA 16A/18B State Tournament held in Columbia, Mo. this past weekend.

Dixon’s Jared Nash led a contingent of local players at the Missouri Junior Amateur Championship held Tuesday and Wednesday at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex just north of Kansas City.

Forty-four adults and 17 kids turned out for The Centre’s Firecracker 5K Run & Kid’s Race held Friday morning in Ber Juan Park.

For four years, a group of boys from our area ate, slept, and breathed baseball.
All the hard work paid off recently, as the Phelps County 14U baseball team placed second out of 44 teams in the USSA State Championship held in Kansas City June 20-22.
